FetchIt uses AI to assist analysis and personalise recommendations. Here is exactly how, and where its limits are.
How AI is used
FetchIt uses AI to interpret what you type into Ask FetchIt (extracting budget, priorities and usage), to rank candidate products against your stated preferences, and to generate plain-language explanations of a recommendation.
What AI does not do
FetchIt's AI reasons only from the product data already in our dataset — specifications, aggregated reviews, expert commentary and observed pricing. It is not permitted to invent a specification, price, or review fact that isn't in that dataset.
Uncertainty
AI-generated explanations and personal match percentages are estimates based on available data, not guarantees. They can be wrong, especially where our underlying data is incomplete or out of date — every page shows a data confidence indicator where relevant.
No performance guarantees
A "Buy" verdict or high FetchScore is FetchIt's assessment at a point in time, not a guarantee of how a product will perform for your specific situation.
